They always ask you when you're sick,
"How do you feel?"
Sometimes 'sick' doesn't mean stomach virus,
Or headache,
Or heartache,
Or any ache.
Sometimes we just say these material sicknesses to get people off our backs.
Sometimes we aren't feeling anything.
We're not sad.
We're not mad.
We're not happy.
We're not glad or surprised or even melancholy.
We just feel this intense feeling,
It's something you can't describe.
It's better than anything you've ever felt before,
Yet it makes you want to just collapse to the floor.
Except they don't see,
They can't see,
They don't understand,
When they ask, "How do you feel?"
And you reply "Just a feeling."
I've been looking at a lot of poetry on here today and thought I'd post one of my old poems on here.
This is sort of more "angsty teenager" than my regular story writing but I like it.
I actually like poems a lot because you can get across what you're feeling in the moment and you don't have to worry about it having a flowing story, or even a beginning or end it can even just be two sentences and you can get people to understand. Meow :3
